Job Summary The role of Senior Manager, Shopper Insights, will be responsible for the development of extensive company and retainer specific shopper insights that advance the delivery of shopper-relevant solutions to enhance the category; the retailer’s and Wyeth’s businesses.He/she will work collaboratively with shopper and category insights, shopper marketing, sales team leads, and brand marketing to deliver actionable insights to assist in setting category and sales team strategies. Job Responsibilities · Plan and execute research that supports category management and shopper marketing short-term and strategic goals. · Be the lead contact with shopper and category insights, sales teams, shopper marketing, and brand marketing teams to design and coordinate shopper insights projects to shape category strategy and influence business needs. · Leverage existing shopper and consumer insights to leverage their impact through appropriate application to retailer/Wyeth opportunities. · Leverage existing syndicated tools to maximize their impact through appropriate application to shopper insight issues. · Co-manage the team’s shopper insights budget to insure it is executed with proper resourcing against highest priorities. · Evaluate and recommend appropriate methodologies and suppliers to insure best practice approaches are being utilized to deliver superior shopper insights. · Use strong communication, organization, and project management skills to insure all projects run smoothly within broader deadlines. Basic Qualifications Four-year college degree, MBA a plus Excellent communication and negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute/apply tactics 4+ years Shopper Insights experience and 5 + years of equivalent CPG industry experience. Consistent, demonstrated proficiency of Shopper Insights research design and execution, including proven track record of implementing research based strategies. Category Management a plus with strong demonstrated proficiency of syndicated data (IRI, Spectra, etc.), retailer store-level POS data and primary and secondary research. A proven track record of implementing actionable insights by transitioning research into growth driving retailer strategy. Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of consumer/shopper applications and software (i.e., HH panel data, custom research, loyalty card/transaction data, etc.). Strong planning skills 8-12 years mix of CPG and agency experience with a focus in consumer insights, shopper insights, and category management. OTC industry experience a plus. Relocation is not available for this position.
