Cox Job Summary:
The Contractor Coordinator position conducts quality assurance inspections of activities including customer installations, plant and switch maintenance, and routine field maintenance. Will conduct routine analysis and tests of various components of a quality assurance program comprised of visual and electronic analysis, an analysis of data, systems evaluations, installation assessments, and quality reviews. Responsible for documenting quality issues and performance measures for management review. Performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections on installations, materials, components, parts, etc. at various stages of a process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Will analyze data and observations and document results to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Recommends modifications to existing, or suggests new, standards, methods and procedures.

Implements the corporate quality assurance strategies and works to achieve quality assurance goals

Implements and maintains quality assurance processes, systems and activities to ensure the quality and reliability of operations and engineering technologies and services

Provides group level summaries of quality assurance adherence and periodically meets with affected departments to discuss operations and engineering team quality assurance results

Identifies unsafe/hazardous situations and reports to the appropriate department manager

Assure Contractors are held accountable to Cox standards

Assure the quality of installations and drop burials meet specified standards and customer expectations

Track, evaluate, and report contractor performance

Assure contract personnel receive appropriate training in Cox policy and procedures

Maintain current list of qualified approved contractors and tracks status of availability

Become proficient as a technician in the applicable products and services

Understand and communicate all field activity to the system on a daily basis
